Chelyabinsk State University was founded in 1976 and was the first university of
South Ural. At present, the University is teaching more than 27000 students enrolled
in 12 different faculties.

National University of Science and Technology MISIS

Department of Metallurgy in the Moscow Academy of Mines, which the Soviet government

before achieving its current designation.
TSU is the oldest university in the Russian Asia, in Siberia, that was founded in
1878 in Tomsk, Russia. It was the First Siberian Imperial University. TSU opened
in 1888 with only one department, the medical faculty, which separated in 1930,
now forming the Siberian State Medical University.
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology is a leading Russian university that

The Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas is a university in Moscow. The
university was founded on 17 April 1930 and is named after the geologist Ivan Gubkin.

The North-Caucasus Federal University was founded based on Decree by President of
Russian Federation № 958 (July 18, 2011) and Order by Government of Russian Federation
№ 226-р (February 22, 2012), as the result of a merge of the three universities
located in the Stavropol Region – the North-Caucasus State Technical University;
the Stavropol State University, and the Pyatigorsk Humanities-Technological University.
Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University
People who have studied and lectured at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic
University during more than one hundred years contributed much to the fame and recognition
of the university. Nobel laureates P.L. Kapitsa, N.N. Semyonov, Zh.I.Alfyorov, academicians
A.F. Ioffe, I.V. Kurchatov, A.A. Radtsig, Yu. B. Khariton are just a few prominent
names among hundreds of talented scientists and production managers whose activities
are connected with the University and whose achievements served as the foundation

The University was founded in 1970 on the basis of the Kalmyk pedagogical Institute
at Kalmykia in Russia. The first graduation of students took place in 1975.
The University was established in 1943 with a former name of Chelyabinsk Mechanical
Engineering Institute (CMEI) and later on South Ural State University (SUSU) came
into existence on 1997. The University describes itself as the “Smart University
Delivering Sustainability for Ural”.
